Chapter 1
Chapter 1:
From the ruins of a mysterious tower and the diary of the harvest goddess, a story emerges. One that begins over 6 centuries ago, when the guardians of the land, celestial beings sworn to protect the elemental tree, were slaughtered by a kingdom hungry for power. The youngest of that royal bloodline drew upon the tree’s strength, but her decision led to the destruction of the kingdom of Veloria.
Clutching the tree’s scattered shards, the princess carried them through the years, through war and turmoil, before separating them in hopes of securing peace. The crystals chose their own bearers, gifting them with extraordinary magic. Yet, in secret, the princess intervened during one fateful choosing, switching destinies to keep her true identity hidden.
Thus Lottie became the beloved goddess of legend, reshaping history into the tale the world now knows. For a time, peace held, but unease grew as magic waned. Fewer children were born with gifts, and the scars of war left mages nearly extinct. Even the natural forces themselves began to weaken.
In time, the harvest goddess uncovered the truth of her powers and sought to return them to their rightful owner. But Nym, who had long withdrawn from the stage, refused. Meanwhile, the fire god began weaving a plan to end the universe itself, seeking to erase all and begin anew after an eternity of existence.
To stop him, Lottie sacrificed herself, sealing away every god but the earth, and giving her her final wisdom. A bittersweet truth that peace could only come once the gods relinquished the power they had carried for so long.
When the gods awakened again, quarrels broke out, but weariness prevailed. Longing for rest, they surrendered their divine forms and returned their crystals, leaving only Nym. With all fragments restored, the elemental tree bloomed once more in the castle courtyard. There, Nym revealed her true self, ascending the throne to honor her friend's final wishes.
Her first act as the harvest goddess was one of mercy, granting the gods rebirth, so they could finally live as mortals in a world at peace.
